Hundred years of history

On March 23, Songshan Lake Central Hospital in Dongguan City  celebrated its 119th anniversary. As a 3A public hospital with a century-old history, its new cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment building will also be put into use by the end of 2022.

The cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment building is located on the east side of Songshan Lake Central Hospital, with a total investment of more than 223 million yuan and a construction area of 27,000 square meters. After the building is completed, it will relieve the pressure of outpatient clinics, which is a great significance to improve the service level of medical technology.

Advantageous disciplines to a new level

The Cardiovascular Department of Songshan Lake Central Hospital was established in 1998 and is a key clinical specialty in Dongguan. At present, the department can comprehensively carry out minimally invasive treatment of cardiovascular diseases, independently carry out ablation treatment of ventricular tachycardia related to structural heart disease, and carry out left atrial appendage occlusion. Many technologies are advanced in the province.

In terms of promoting the development of disciplines, Songshan Lake Central Hospital and Fuwai Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences,Shenzhen jointly established a medical consortium, and successively established the China Chest Pain Center, China Atrial Fibrillation Center, China Heart Failure Center, and Guangdong Chest Pain Center Demonstration Base. Relying on the cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment building, the hospital will strive to build a regional cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment center and a provincial-level cardiovascular specialty, and promote its cardiovascular specialty to the domestic first-class level.

Smart Hospital Construction Improves Comprehensive Service Capability

Based on the regional medical center, Dongguan Songshan Lake Central Hospital continues to improve its comprehensive service capabilities through five measures, including promoting smart medical care, optimizing outpatient services, promoting the construction of "1+9" medical consortium, building a humanistic brand hospital, and improving the hospital's brand image. Actively promote the construction of a "three-in-one" smart hospital with electronic medical records, smart services, and smart management, and innovatively introduce TVS(Track Vehicle System) and WTS(Waste Transport System) to achieve closed-loop transportation of clean items and dirt in the building.

Track Vehicle System:

The cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment building has a total of 11 stations, covering core departments such as pharmacy, laboratory department, outpatient department, CCU, CSICU, operation center and nursing units.

Waste Transport System:

It is used for the disposal of household waste and dirty linens. The whole system is composed of feeding port, vertical conveying pipeline (separate pipelines for garbage and dirty clothes), buffer pipeline, exhaust system, cleaning and disinfection and deodorization system, garbage compression and storage equipment and special collection vehicle for dirty clothes. In this project, two drop windows are set up on each floor. The drop windows are automatically opened through card swiping authentication, and garbage and dirty clothes are automatically transferred to the collection device through a closed pipeline without manual intervention.
